Privacy Policy

Plain-language summary: we never see your email content. Here's exactly what we do collect, and why.

Last updated: August 21, 2026

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers the MailBinder Chrome extension and the mailbinder.mybrowsertools.com website (together, "MailBinder," "we," "us"). If you use MailBinder, this explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. What we never collect

MailBinder's export and automation features run entirely inside your browser. We do not receive, store, transmit, or have access to:

  • The subject, body, or attachments of any email you view or export
  • Your Gmail inbox contents, contacts, or search history
  • The files MailBinder generates on your device

There is no step in a normal export where your email content is sent to a MailBinder server.

3. What we do collect

To run the free trial and license system, we collect a small amount of account-level information:

  • Email address — provided when you start your 14-day trial or complete a purchase, used to verify your trial and identify your license.
  • Device identifier — an anonymous, randomly generated ID stored on your device, used to enforce trial and device-seat limits. It does not identify you personally on its own.
  • License and billing records — when you purchase, our payment processor (Payhip) shares confirmation of the sale so we can activate your license. We do not receive or store your full payment card details; those are handled by Payhip directly.
  • Basic service logs — standard technical logs (timestamps, IP address, request type) generated when your device talks to our licensing servers, used for security, rate-limiting, and troubleshooting.

4. How we use this information

  • To start, verify, and track your free trial
  • To activate, verify, and manage your Pro license and device seats
  • To respond to support requests you send us
  • To detect and prevent abuse of the trial or licensing system

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or third-party marketing.

5. Third parties we rely on

  • Payhip — processes purchases and issues license keys. Payhip's own privacy policy governs the payment information you give them directly.
  • Cloudflare — hosts the licensing service and website infrastructure that keeps MailBinder running.

We do not use third-party advertising or content-analytics trackers inside the extension.

6. Chrome permissions

MailBinder requests only the browser permissions it needs to add export controls to Gmail and to run conversions locally. Permissions are used solely to operate the features you see in the extension.

7. Data retention

We retain trial and license records for as long as needed to operate your license and to comply with our own legal and accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your account data by contacting support.

8. Your choices

  • Deactivate a device seat at any time from the extension's Account panel.
  • Request a copy or deletion of the data we hold about your email address by emailing mailbinder@mybrowsertools.com.
  • Uninstall the extension at any time from chrome://extensions — this removes MailBinder from your browser immediately.

9. Children's privacy

MailBinder is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users through the extension or by email.
